Preparation Instructions:
I would like to thank William from Birmingham England for allowing us to publish his black and tan cocktail recipe. To get started, first you will need to take out an English style pint glass. Next you will want to fill half of the glass with the Bass Pale Ale, allowing time for the beer to settle afterwards, as you don't want any foamy head on it. Once the ale has settled, slowly pour your Guinness Stout over a spoon and into the glass. If you do this very slowly and very carefully, the end result will be that the Guinness will float on top of the pale ale, as it's lighter. Serve immediately after you finish pouring the half pint of Guinness. With regard to this being a St. Paddy's Day drink, it's somewhat strange, as the drink itself is offensive to anything Irish. The Black and Tans were a British paramilitary group sent into Ireland by Winston Churchill, and they were responsible for numerous atrocities against the Irish. Politics and history aside, do enjoy.
