Did you know that Irish Gaelic is heavily used in radio and television throughout Ireland? Ireland has it's own Gaeltacht radio station, called RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. The country also has it's own Gaelic television station, called Teilifís na Gaeilge, and abbreviated TnaG or more recently TG4. In addition to those huge national Gaelic media outlets, there are also many smaller more local Gaelic only radio stations. There are Raidió na Life in Dublin and Raidió Fáilte in Belfast, with both enjoying a substantial number of regular listeners. Outside of radio and television, there are also tons of Gaelic Irish only news publications throughout Ireland, offering domestic and world news in both print or internet media. During the last census report conducted by the government, roughly 16% of the country's population regularly listens to radio in Irish Gaelic.
