Manx Gaelic Fact
Did you know that Manx Gaelic has been taught in schools on the Isle of Man since 1992? The Manx language courses have proven to be quite popular across the island, a very necessary component of reviving the language. In 2001, several Manx medium playgroups were setup, as well as a primary school. Many of the lessons that are taught in these places are conducted in the Manx language. Aside from official school education, Manx language courses are also quite popular on the Island of Man for adults as well. All of these signs of a vibrant Manx revival have encouraged many of the language's enthusiasts to become quite optimistic about restoring the mother tongue to the small island. We would like to thank you for browsing through this Manx Gaelic fact. We would also like to encourage you bookmark our website so that you can visit us again in the very near future, as we plan to add many more interesting Gaelic articles.
