Notre Dame Fighting Irish Tattoo
As many of you are probably already aware, Notre Dame Fighting Irish Tattoos are pretty popular not just with University of Notre Dame alumni, but with people who wish to celebrate their Irish ancestral heritage. In addition to the University logo being a popular tattoo choice, I have also seen many examples that incorporate both the logo and some Irish Gaelic writing. If you are planning to get one of the tattoos to celebrate your time at the University of Notre Dame, then you're probably making a wise choice. If however you're planning on getting one these tattoos to celebrate the age old stereotype of a belligerent Irishman, then you're probably doing both your ancestral heritage as well as the contemporary Irish people a great disservice. In a way the logo could be as offensive to a native Irish person, as the Washington Redskins NFL football logo is to a Native Americans, both showing little insight on the actual people.
